What is Thermosift CBG/CBD?

If you like CBD resin, then Thermosift is sure to please you too! What makes this CBD flower extract unique is precisely its extraction technique!

It preserves an intact terpene profile thanks to its natural, solvent-free extraction, by sieving the flowers dry. By preserving as much as possible of the trichomes, which are little sticky bags, we can be sure of isolating and preserving all the aromas of CBD flowers! In fact, it’s the terpenes that give it that deliciously sweet, powerful taste, with relaxing and soothing powers.

Thermosift CBD is obtained from the trichomes found in a mix of Junky Milk flowers, which are rich in CBD, and Matterhorn flowers, which are rich in CBG. This mix gives us a very interesting CBD/CBG ratio! We extract the trichomes using sieves, also known as micron bags, which allow the trichomes to pass through while retaining the rest of the plant matter.

But before we go any further, did you know that there are several types of trichomes? Here are the 3 main categories of trichomes:

• Bulbous trichomes, measuring between 25 and 30 microns, are the smallest of the 2 other categories;
• Sessile trichomes, also known as “bulbous trichomes”, measuring between 25 and 100 microns;
• Tiger head trichomes, also known as “glandular trichomes”, which are the largest of the trichomes! They contain most of the cannabinoids and terpenes.

Thermosift preserves trichomes with tiger-like flower heads and trichomes with sessile flower heads for greater effect!

What is Dry sift?

As we explained above, Thermosift CBD is extracted using a technique known as dry sift. This method of extracting CBD preserves the trichomes without using solvents, which can be harmful to health.

To achieve a good dry sift, we proceed with what we call a ‘pass’, which simply consists of placing the plant material to be extracted (here Junky Milk + Matterhorn flowers) in the extraction bag at the desired mesh size. We opted for a 90 micron, to preserve as many trichomes as possible!

Then simply place a support underneath to collect the trichomes, such as a sterilised basin. The bag is then gently shaken vertically over the container. The container is covered with a fine yellowish/whitish powder, which falls from the bag: these are the delicious trichomes you’re looking for.

The product can then be compressed (or not) to obtain a compact, homogeneous piece of hashish.

What’s special about Thermosift CBD is that it has also undergone thermotreatment, which means that its temperature has been altered from -30°C to 20 degrees. This technique changes the appearance, texture and flavour of the product.

What are the effects of Thermosift CBG/CBD?

It’s relaxing, soothing, anti-inflammatory and analgesic. Thermosift CBD could even help promote sleep, as it brings a certain serenity to the body and mind, offering a great natural and healthy alternative for relaxing.

As this product has undergone a specific temperature treatment, it is very malleable, even downright sticky! Although it’s not a classic hash, it can be consumed like any other CBD product.

For example, you can add it to your favourite dishes, or let it dissolve in a hot drink to make an infusion, allowing you to enjoy a delicious and relaxing moment.
